Thai Temple in Griffin, GA.

Me and my children, we went to Wat Phramahajanaka (Thai Temple in Griffin GA.), planning to go and do meditation at the temple on that day, but when we got there, the monk did not teach people to do meditation on that day, but the monk and all the other people helping the monk building big benches to use for meditation, or can use for a camp when some people come to the temple to have 8 precept at the temple for 3 days, 5 days, or 7 day.

     This is what the temple needed for the monk them self and for the monks visitor, and also for people to use for meditation, if people have to stay over night, because they want to do eight precepts at the temple, then they can set up a tent over that big bench. The monk planned to build 45 of these big bench.

   At first the monk want to hire a company to build these big bench, but the company will charge $1000.00 for each bench. So the monk asked people who can have time to help build these big bench for the temple, so a lot of people happy and volunteer to help, because this is a good time, or a chance for them to make more good deed and build to their life. We all have fun on that day, even it so hot.

    So if you want to donate the money to the temple for the monk to use the money to buy concrete mix to build these big bench, you can send any amount of your money $1, $2 or $5 for one concrete mix bag with your check to the address below, and the monk will also need money to build a road in the temple area too, or you can go to the temple and donate money to the monk for yourself, you are welcome to do that too.

How to Diet and keep losing weight to the way you want and happy with your cloth size

If you are looking for way to lose weight, then read this basic and easy information to help you losing weigh easily, this will help you to lose weight and burn fat from your body, without using any weight lose products.

So many people try to lose weight by using so many weight lose products, keep changing and trying different type of weight loss products that said guaranteed their product will help you lose weight and become thin. But the true is you still can’t lose much of your fat out of your body and you are not skinny as much as you want. I don’t think it’s easy to lose weight and become skinny like a teenager if you are 40 years old and up, and if you are not eating right and exercise at least 15 – 30 minutes at least 4 days a week, or if you can eat only two meals a day, only breakfast and lunch but for dinner have only soy milk, juice, yogurt and water, then you will lose a lot of fat and pound and will become skinnier as you want.

I know one Bhikkhuni (woman monk) in South Carolina, she is American women, and working as a lawyer before she become Bhikkuni, back then she is fat (She show me her picture), but now she is skinny like I never think she is fat and big before, I don’t know how long it took her to become so skinny, but I know that most of the foods she ate are Indian foods and little of Thai foods, that's because most people who offered her food are Indian people, and she ate only two times a day (The monk rule) morning and lunch no dinner. So, you can try to do this, it’s not hard, but, if you are hungry you can eat salad, drink a cup of juice, soy milk or low fat milk and water for your dinner and try to avoid heavy meal, not long you will lose some weigh.

People will fat or skinny will depend on the foods they eat. Bread is make you fat more easier than rice.
So try to eat more rice than bread for your meal but should not more than three(3) cups a day, if you don’t like long grain rice then try jasmine rice, jasmine rice is soft and testy than long grain rice and jasmine rice is smell so good.

You can find jasmine rice at any super market store, sometime I brought jasmine rice from Publix, Kroger or Bilo super market, but if you cannot find any at American super market then go to any Asian super market or Asian grocery store, they always have jasmine rice in the store.

Your body don't need a lot of meat, meats hard to digest unlike vegetables. When you cook, consider to add lots of vegetable in your receipt and have a little of meat in your cooking, for the test and protein that your body need, and vegetable is easy to digest then meat, if you can consider eating tofu sometime to replace meat like pork, chicken, etc., tofu is make from soy bean, so you can get protein from tofu like you get protein from meat.

Seafood is good especially fish and salmon, salmon is rich in omega3 and omega6, but everything if it to much then it will not good for your weight, so don’t over load eating and don’t forget to drink lots of water at least 8 cup a day, water is a good drink for all of us, water will help our body to digest foods in your body better than other kind of drink (sorry, if I’m wrong about this, I’m not a doctor), so you should drink water between and after meal even you already drink juice.

Years ago I read a book, cannot remember what is the name of that book and who write it, in the magazine or in a book, but I think an author talk about benefit of water, he said “drink one cup of water after you just woke up in the morning and before you eating anything and before you going to use the bath room and to brush your teeth. because this one(1) cup of water will help you to clean up your stomach and give you an easy bowel movement” and this is true I have done that, it’s work very well with easy bowel movement in the morning every day.

Sometime my kids have a hard time for bowel movement in the bath room, so I have to bring them a cup of water for them to drink while they sitting on a toilet, a few minute after they finished drinking water, they are good to finish and get out from the toilet, no more crying or pushing. You should try to do this, it work!

*** So, If you have a hard time sitting on the toilet, ask someone in your family to bring you a cup of water for you to drink. and you will get up from toilet faster than normally. 

If you don’t want your kids to be fat now or later, these are what you should not feed them and yourself too much

- You should not eat and feed them with bacon and pancake every day
- Don’t eat cheese every day
- Avoid soda, the maximum for soda should not more 3 cup a month
- Only two breads a day
- Don’t eat too much donuts, cake, and cookie.

Add one more thing for adult if you don’t want to have a big stomach then don’t drink beer.

These are what you should eat or drink for your snack after your regular meal or when ever you are hungry

- Always drink 1% or 2% milk
- Eat salad for your snack or dinner
- Yogurt
- All kind of your favorite fruits.
- Juice, soy milk, and/or yogurt and water

So, if you can always do these, you will never worries about your weight and pay more money for an extra large size of cloths or buy an expensive weight lose products.

Consider these before you buy foods to cook for your lunch and dinner.

~*~ If you want to spend $10.00 for pizza, think about how if you can use that money to buy 1 or 2 piece of salmon to eat with rice.

~*~ Publix salad kit is really good too and makes you feel full with just one bag of salads and is only $2.99, the kit includes; salad with dressing and small bag of crunch bread, some time it on sale, buy one get one free, this mean you get two bags of salad kit for only $2.99.

Drink water instead of soda. Do you know soda is cause people to have a bad back ache? and on the women whose like to drink soda will have a real bad back ache on the time they delivering the baby.

*** So, remember to keep you healthy and skinny you must eat right and exercise at least 15 – 30 minutes a day, for at least 3-4 days a week, skinny people it doesn’t mean they are healthy, if they did not eat right and do some exercise, even they in a good shape, look handsome and beautiful, they still can have some health problem. Goat Milk and Oatmeal Soap


                    This soap is good for dry and sensitive skin

Goat Milk & Oat meal Soap Recipe


1 pound, all natural goat milk Soap base

¼ cup ground Oat meal

¼ cup goat milk liquid


 First scale the soap by lay a plastic wrap on a scale, and put the soap base on the scale and weight it for 1 

1. Pour hot water over ¼ cup of oatmeal and set it a side to let it cook or you just use uncooked ground oat meal)

2. Cut 1 pound soap base into a small piece for about 1 - 2 inches for easy melting

3. Melt soap base in a microwave, and melt for 10 second at a time until all the soap are melted into a liquid.

4. Pour ground oatmeal into melted goat milk, stir with wooden stick, or wooden spoon to mix all the ingredients together.

*.* After all the ingredients mixed very well, pour the soap liquid into the soap molds, and let the soap to dry and harden before take the soap out from the soap mold to use. Save the unused soap in the zip lock bag.

Now you have natural soap that can clean your skin without drying your skin.

Basic Face Mask

                                  Basic face mask

I believe that everyone both men and women are want to look great, beautiful, and handsome, and want to look young forever. I have some tip that can make you look great and young, but not forever, just for temporary, and I don’t think something in this world will help people stay young and beautiful forever.

If you are really care about your face and want to look great, beautiful, and young with less wrinkles, then try these easy natural face masks that you can do it yourself at home, and this is good for people whose cannot support to go to spa like riches people. I never go to spa place too.

But these home spa-basic face mask will give you a temporary beauty, so if you want to look great and beautiful every day, then you have to take good care of your skin with natural vitamins from fruits and vegetables at least 2 or 3 times a week or you can do it every day for at least 20-30 minutes, at the end of the day after you are tired from work and anything else, not me (I'm too lazy to take care myself), but I do it sometime, when I feel, I'm look old or ugly.

For Normal to oily skin

1. Yogurt: You can use yogurt alone to apply on your face, then let it dry, after yogurt dry, then you can peel it off, or washes with warm water, then follow with cold water. You can use yogurt to blend in the blender with other natural foods like;

- honey, lime, lemon, kiwi, and tomato, and mask your face.

*** Blended oatmeal with yogurt is a good face scrub or body scrub for any types of skin, especially dry and sensitive skin.

2. White egg: separate white egg from egg york then apply white egg all

over your face and wait till it dry, after the white eggs dry, wash it off with

warm water and follow with cold water then dry with tower.

3. Honey: I remember like to apply honey on my face on the time that I’m

still young, or it around my twenty,(now I’m turning 42) I apply honey on

my face because they said honey help to kill bacteria, that will cause acne on our face.

4. Cucumber: Cucumber is good to eat, but also good to use as an eye pads to help sooth and refresh tired eyes, cucumber also can use as a face mask for a brighter face and to refresh your skin.
You can use cucumber alone by slice very thin thin slices and put cucumber cover all over your face then lie down for about 30 - 45 minutes to allow your skin to absorb the vitamins from cucumber to your face skin.

*** I like to use cucumber by slice a very thin pieces and put its on

my face some time, a lot of girls like to do this, and after I took the

cucumber out from my face, it feels and look brighter and look younger

too, the face feel cool and relax.

~***~ The good cucumber for face is called Kirby, you can find at any Asian super market, or Asian grocery store, and it’s not too pricey.
You can also blend cucumber with any other kind of fruits and vegetables like example below;

*~* Kiwi
*~* You can blend it with honey
*~* Blend with yogurt
*~* Blend with carrot
*`* Blend it with tomato
*~* Lime or lemon juice

*** So, you can blend with any kinds of fruits, vegetable and/or other natural foods that you think is good for your skin type, and then apply on your face and neck then let the mask stay on your face for about 20 – 45 minutes, before you wash it off with clean water no soap or any kind of face wash that have chemical they will ruin your skin.
5. Avocado: Use ripe avocado, mashed then apply on your face for about 30 – 45 minutes then wash it off 
    with warm water and follow with cold water.
6. Papaya: Use ripe papaya and mashed to apply on your face for bright and soft skin.

~***~ If you have acne and blemish, try this recipe (I never try it yet)
Blend kiwi with honey and apply it on your face or body for 30 -45 minutes and wash it off with water.

Note *** The fruit that you should not use alone on your face are kiwi, tomato, and orange, because these three (3) fruits are high in vitamin C, your face will look bright only when you are inside the house, but if you are going out in the sun, your face will turn black and ugly, I already has that experience.

For Normal to Dry skin

~ Banana: banana is good for dry and sensitive skin, you can slice a thin layer or mashed banana and put on your face or you can blend it with other nature like….

~*~ oat meal is good for dry, sensitive and itchy skin, if you use oat meal, make sure you grinded a little bit and have to cook oat meal first by pour hot water not boiling water over the oat meal in the bowl and let it warm, you don’t need the oatmeal to well-done cooking like we are eating, just make it a little softer.

~*~ Honey is good for cleaning and killing bacteria on the skin.

~*~ Goat milk

~*~ Soy milk

~*~ Cucumber

~*~ Carrot

~*~ Yogurt

**** What you have today in your kitchen, refrigerator, or in your garden, grab one or a few, use it alone or mix it together and put it on your face for young and beautiful you. :)
